Regular Season Schedule Released
by NHPW Webmaster posted 08/27/2014
The 2014 regular season schedule has been released and it can be found under the NHPW Football tab listed above. There are a few weeks that currently show as "TBD" and they will be filled in the near future. Once I have this information the schedule will be updated.
Please keep in mind that the schedule is ALWAYS subject to change due to a variety of circumstances. Your program will keep you informed of any changes although they will likely be few and far between.
I appreciate your patience while this was being drafted and I wish all of you the best of luck throughout the season.
New Hampshire Pop Warner is pleased to announce that it has aligned itself with USA Football and it's Heads Up Football initiative. This program is the new standard in player safety and is designed to significantly reduce helmet contact. This is accomplished by teaching players five fundamentals and then using them in a series of drills to emphasize proper tackling technique.
Heads up Football has been fully endorsed by the National Football League and major NCAA conferences such as the Big 10, Big 12 and PAC 10.
All of our member Associations will be required to name a Player Safety Coach for the 2014 season. This person will be attending an on-field training session with a Master Instructor from USA Football. Once they have been certified, they will conduct an organization-wide training for Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Coach Trainees and Team Parents so that the drills can be completed first-hand. The Player Safety Coach is also responsible for monitoring practices and games to ensure that proper tackling technique continues to be enforced throughout the season.
Beginning in 2014, all New Hampshire Pop Warner coaches appearing on a roster will need to complete an on-field training and online test in order to be certified. We are working in collaboration with our programs to ensure that we are providing the safest environment possible for all of our football players.
For more information on Heads Up Football, please take a moment and visit the USA Football website at usafootball.com. There you will find educational videos, endorsements from coaches around the country and success stories from programs that already have the program in place.
Our forums are now open for those that would like to discuss anything related to New Hampshire Pop Warner.
